Grundig B700 - Blackberry Look alike but Runs on Linux

Grundig, a traditional sound systems and radios maker that has good reputation on their producets are now aiming at the cellphone market. Grundig Mobile is launching the B700 Ultra Slim Communicator, a Blackberry style look alike smartphone that runs on a Linux operating system. The design is very simple, but it also looks effective, with a QWERTY keyboard with SureType® technology, just like the Blackberry.

The B700 has features like a 2.4” QVGA display, a Push Email POP3 client, a 2 megapixels camera with 4x zoom and LED flash, a MP3 player and FM radio. The internal memory is only 100 MB, but you can expand this capacity to 1 GB using the microSD memory card slot. The B700 is a quad-band GSM / EDGE smartphone with Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port. The B700 is only 0,39 inches thin, and it weights 3,13 ounces. The problem about the B700 is the battery, that only lasts two and a half hours of talk time, and 150 hours in standby mode.
