The world’s smallest flash drive has arrived, measuring at 45.7 x 12.2 x 2.2mm. The Pretec i-Disk flash drive uses RFID tech for a waterproof casing with 1 GB worth of storage, and is made using a semiconductor MCP process.
It will primarily be marketed for use in hospitals, airports, warehouses, POS systems for access control, asset or inventory management. Mass production is scheduled to start in Q2 this year.
