Intel announces Core 2 Extreme QX6850
Intel just released their 3.0GHz Core 2 Extreme QX6850 quad core processor for standard Intel Socket T (LGA775) boards. QX6850 a quad-core CPU clocked at 3.0GHz and with a 1333MHz FSB with 8MB of L2 cache. The 267 MHz (FSB) and 340MHz (processor).
Coupled with the upcoming X38 chipset, Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 will provide the most powerful Core 2 platform up to date. The QX6850 is set to cost US$999 when released.
