Apple secures three European Mobile Phone Operators for iPhone
Financial Times is reporting that Apple has succeeded in securing commitments from three European mobile phone operators who want exclusive access to the iPhone to share revenues with Apple.
The contract supposedly requires the operators to provide 10 percent of the revenues made from calls and data transfer by iPhone customers. The three mobile phone operators are T-Mobile of Germany, Orange of France, and O2 in the UK. A formal announcement will be made at the IFA trade fair in Berlin at the end of August.
