SanDisk introduces Fastest-ever Memory Stick PRO-HG

SanDisk revealed the Extreme III Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo memory cards, which are capable of reading and writing at 30MBps transfer speeds. In comparison, the non-HG Extreme III Memory Stick cards manage 18MBps speeds.

SanDisk’s newest memory card is made to work with Sony’s home and professional still cameras, as well as certain camcorders, and should also be compatible with Sony’s PSP portable gaming system.

SanDisk’s RescuePRO software is included with the memory cards, allowing for the recovery of deleted images. The PRO-HG cards will be available worldwide for purchase via SanDisk’s website and retailers starting in June, priced at nearly $90 (4GB) and $150 (8GB).
