ioSafe 3.5 Pilot: Internal Hard Drive with Disaster Protection
ioSafe announced a new product called the ioSafe 3.5 Pilot series. The ioSafe 3.5 Pilot series is the world’s first hard drive designed to protect data from natural disasters that can be utilized anywhere a standard 3.5-inch hard drive is used today. The drives are rated to protect data from fire and full immersion in water and can be deployed like any other 3.5-inch hard drive.
The ioSafe 3.5 Pilot series uses a standard SATA 1.5Gb/s interface to connect to or integrate in your existing Windows, Macintosh, Unix or Linux systems. It also comes with the ioSafe Disaster Recovery Service available throughout the 3-year warranty period. The Disaster Recovery Service provides experts to help you to recover from a disaster and includes a third-party data extraction service plus replacement product if required.
