Asus Unveils rugged notebook

Asus B51 is the latest notebook that handles rough handling and tough environments with magnesium alloy chassis, rubber bumpers around its edges and an anti-scratch coating for the display. B51’s hard drive is floated on a sponge protection system, while the keyboard as a drainage path integrated into its design, so that the B51 is able to weather the occasional shocks and spills (up to 120cc) and continue to function reliably.
Under its tough shell, the B51 will be able to be powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors like the T8300, T8100, T5850 and T5750 and Intel GM965 motherboard with GMA X3100 integrated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM and up to 320GB of storage via one SATA hard drive. The new notebook will come with Windows Vista Business pre-installed, an 8-cell battery and, optional, with a built-in 1.3 megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.0. Asus B51 is an ideal mobile computing solution for professionals who routinely operate in tough, demanding environments.
