Canon EOS-5D Mark II Leaked

According to dpreview.com forums, the Canon EOS-5D Mark II will be officially announced in September 8, 2008.  The EOS-5D Mark II will be Canon’s most low-light capable model as of to date, and it will feature 16-megapixels, full-frame sensor that supports up to ISO 25,600, matching the same performance as the Nikon D3 in very dark environment.

The Canon EOS-5D Mark II camera would lack of the live previews on its LCD that are present on the Rebel series but would make up for it through an extra-sharp display: the screen would have a VGA (640×480) resolution that would help in reviewing shots. Other additions would include continuous shooting at six frames per second as well as an enclosure fully sealed against rain and other splashes.

The Canon EOS-5D II digital camera would also lack of the full autofocus capabilities as of the EOS-1D Mark III in addition to other extras such as fast UDMA CompactFlash card support, HDMI video output.

It will have a suggested price for $2,400 in a body-only kit, falling in line with the advent of the Photokina Expo in Germany the same month.
