Samsung Unveils first phone with night vision camera

Samsung has released SCH-W760, the first mobile handset that comes with with an infrared camera that allows users to hold video conference calls in low-light environments. The slider also has a traditional, rear-facing 3-megapixel camera and otherwise features a 2.8-inch AMOLED display with 240×400 resolution. There is also 8GB of internal memohry and a microSD memory card slot for adding even more storage space.

Koreans will have the benefit of watching S-DMB TV programming in their home market, while it also supports up to 7.2Mbps on 3G networks. Bluetooth rounds out the known specs of the unique Samsung handset. The SCH-W760 sells for the equivalent of $457 in Korea. It’s unknown if shipment to the rest of the world will be available.
