Acer unveiled 5738DG its first Aspire One notebook with a 3D display. Acer 5738DGoffers the same basic specs as 5738 notebook, but with an added multi-touch display for a TriDef 3D screen. The 1366×768 display measures 15.6 inches corner-to-corner, with 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium as the pre-installed operating system. The device utilizes GeForce 3D Vision technology, essentially splitting a 120Hz signal into two 60Hz stereoscopic images. Like similar products, the 3D aspects are only visible when the user wears a special pair of polarized glasses.
Acer 5738DG sports an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 CPU, along with 4GB of system memory. Graphics are driven by Radeon HD 4570 components with 512MB of dedicated memory and 2304MB of HyperMemory. A 320GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n connectivity, and a DVD player round out the specs. It is expected to ship this week for a price $780.
