Sirius Backseat TV system has begun to ship from selected Sirius retailers. It is compatible with majority of aftermarket or factory-installed video monitors, and utilizes an integrated FM transmitter/AUX output to provide audio.

BMW claims to be the first car manufacturer to offer fully, unrestricted, built-in access to the Internet. BMW named this new technology as ConnectedDrive, which could connect you to the EDGE Internet. EDGE is used by many phones, and most notably the Apple iPhone. EDGE, however, is not the fastest means of accessing the Internet.

Toyota announced that it has given its Pre-crash Safety System the ability to determine whether a driver’s eyes are properly open. Toyota expects this driver-monitoring breakthrough, along with the system’s current ability to determine the direction of the driver’s face, to play an important role in reducing collision-related damage.
