Elonex launches 6-inch e-book reader
Elonex launches its first 6-inch eBook Reader where it allow users to download ebooks via Borders’ eBook Download Store. The reader is just over a third of an inch thick and weighs 6.5oz, with a battery life that is claimed to last 8,000 page turns. The e-Ink screen is said to be two and a half times sharper than a conventional display and can be red in direct sunlight. Users will have the ability to choose from one of eight font sizes and turn the reader horizontally for a wider viewing area.

ASUS has announced the upcoming release of its RT-N16 Wireless-N gigabit router, which is said to offer 300MBps maximum wireless throughput speeds. It comes with 128MB of onboard video memory and an advanced CPU that ASUS claims makes it eight times faster in benchmark tests than similar products. ASUS RT-N16’s performance could makes it ideal for smooth file transfers and downloads, video streaming, wireless gaming and VoIP calls.
Joybook Lite U102 is the latest ultra-portable netbook from BenQ which is fashioned for the always-connected, on-the-go, style-setting Internet enthusiast. Deluxe online fun rivaling laptop performance is made possible by Intel’s Atom processor, a 10.1” UltraVivid 16:9 WSVGA LED-backlit screen, a 250GB HDD, connection essentials, and cool web conveniences.
Samsung will be launching a netbook that is based on NVIDIA’s Ion platform. Shown briefly during an NVIDIA presentation, the N510 is now known by insiders for Blogeee to use Ion to significantly improve 3D graphics and HD video decoding. It will also be Samsung’s largest netbook-class system with a 11.6-inch display, although a very narrow bezel should reduce the overall footprint of the computer.
Inspired by Lenovo’s thinnest and lightest full-function laptop, the featherweight ThinkPad X301, Lenovo engineered its latest laptop, the ThinkPad T400s, to be super-slim at just 0.83 inches thin and ultra-light starting under four pounds. Lenovo added the ability to power on the laptop with just the swipe of a finger on the fingerprint reader. And an always-on USB port keeps MP3 players, cameras and other peripherals charged when the laptop is in standby or hibernate mode. The laptop achieves its skinny frame thanks to the thin 14.1-inch LED screen, solid state drive storage and the second generation Top Cover Roll Cage, which Lenovo first introduced in the ThinkPad X300 laptop.
