Intel is planning to launch another high end processor in its quad core Core 2 Extreme series. The new chip, named QX9300, is manufactured with 45nm fabrication process and offers 1066MHz front side bus.

Intel Quad Core 2 Extreme will come in a socket P package and feature 2.53GHz core frequency, 12MB L2 cache and a power rating of 45W.
