Panasonic today unveiled the new DMC-G2 from Lumix G Micro System as the world’s first interchangeable lens system camera with touch-control shooting. To develop the new DMC-G2, Panasonic focused on the operability and elevated it even higher by adoption of touch-screen that connects the sight and action most intuitively. Just a touch on the subject in the LCD lets you set AF even to release the shutter. Various advanced AF functions taking advantage of high-speed, accurate contrast AF are now as easy and comfortable as it never was with a combination of touch-screen operation.

Sony to showcase concept mode of a new ultra-compact camera with interchangeable lenses at CP+2010 Exhibition

Sony is exhibiting its latest digital imaging products, including a concept model of its new compact “α” DSLR camera system that packs the quality of a DSLR camera in an extraordinarily small body, along with interchangeable lenses will be exhibited for the first time in Japan at CP+2010 (Camera and Photo Imaging Show) in Yokohama, starting from on March 11 2010.

Pentax Unveils limited Edition silver K-7 DSLR

Pentax has announced a limited edition version of its K-7 DSLR, which is easy to spot due to its exclusive silver finish. The color matches that of Pentax’ high-performance FA Limited lenses, and there is a new golden section ratio focusing screen that sports guiding lines and points that are curved on the screen. The LCD also gets a reinforced glass plate for protection against scratches and breaks. The DSLR has a 14.6-megapixel sensor and can capture HD videos at 1280×720 or 1536×1024 at a full 30 frames per second.

Canon Unveils Rebel T2i with 18MP sensor, 1080p 30 video

Canon has announced Rebel T2i. The successor to Canon’s entry DSLR shoots at the same 18 megapixels as the EOS 7D and also inherits its video recording features: it now shoots at a full 30 frames per second at 1080p (versus 20 for the T1i) and has manual exposure control, autofocusing and selectable frame rates. It can shoot as high as 60 frames per second at 720p and has a unique pseudo-telephoto mode that zooms in 7X when recording standard definition video.
