Sony announced a new Wireless keypad accessory for the PS3. The wireless keypad mounts over the top of the Sony PS3 controller and adds a full QWERTY keyboard that is operated with the thumbs. The keypad is paired to the PS3 by connecting it with the included USB cable.

Sony announced at the Games Convention in Germany a new 160GB PS3. The new PS3 will launch in PAL markets on October 31st for €449 ($663.75) and will include additional PlayStation network content bundled with the console.

All features of the console are the same with only increase in storage capacity. Sony says the increased 160GB of storage is perfect for those who like to download movies and video games from the PlayStation network as well as those who like to store music and photos on the PS3.

Sony announced the final release date for its PlayTV tuner for the PlayStation 3. The add-on, once set for the end of June, is now set to launch on September 10th. The shipping version will support recording TV shows even during game play. The device already supports dual DVB-T tuners and will capture one over-the-air digital channel while playing another live.
