Xbox 360 Update due Dec 4

Microsoft has set a release date for its Xbox 360 update to launch on December 4th. One of the new features will incorporate Find Old Friends, a new service that will let users browse the friend lists of other gamers on the Xbox Live service. The addition follows in the footsteps of social networking sites and lets users reconnect with people they know without having to guess others’ gamertags, the company says. Every feature available with the main friend list will carry over, such as friend and game invites as well as comparing game achievements.

Xbox 360 Update allows Downloadable Xbox Games

Microsoft will release a new update for the Xbox 360 console on December 4th. One of the new features is the addition of downloadable Xbox games, this will cost 1200 points per game ($15).

Xbox 360 Arcade officially Launch



 

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Arcade is now finally official. Priced at $279 that comes with wireless controller, HDMI, and five arcade games (Pac-Man Championship Edition, Uno, Luxor 2, Boom Boom Rocket and Feeding Frenzy).

Microsoft has unveiled three new colored Xbox 360 controllers during the Tokyo briefing. The three colors Black, Pink and Light Blue. The black is already available with the Elite.

HDMI officially added to Xbox 360 Premium

Microsoft has finally made an official statement that its Xbox 360 Premium will be shipped with an HDMI port. The HDMI output was available on the Elite version. No news yet on the core system getting the HDMI.

Microsoft’s official statement: “Yes, we are offering an HDMI port for Xbox 360 simply as another choice in Xbox 360 owners’ games and entertainment experience. Retailers are gradually introducing HDMI-enabled Xbox 360s into the channel to meet demand.”
