Yamaha will be launching a new audio system Restio (model ISX-B820) in mid-February at Japan. The system will be available in three pleasing colors-Emerald Green, White and Magneta Dahila . When compared with the first Restio model ISX800 launched in 2011, the new slim model adds Bluetooth. You can play music from smartphones and other wireless media players via Bluetooth. Other features include built in FM radio, CD player and USB playback (MP3/WMA files) and clock with alarm function.

Dual Electronics has revealed the XGPS300 GPS cradle, which enables an iPhone or the GPS-lacking iPod touch to perform turn-by-turn car navigation. The device contains its own GPS sensor, and is bundled with NavAtlas’ navigation software.

Bose has unveiled an upgraded SoundDock line with a new, particularly high-end model. The SoundDock 10 adds a dedicated subwoofer to reproduce the low end and has two large transducers that borrow the same technology as found in the Wave radio to project upper- and mid-range frequencies.

Sirius XM this afternoon held an event to launch its fall lineup of satellite radio gear and headed it up with the first-ever satellite radio peripheral for the iPhone. Confirming rumors, the XM SkyDock (shown at top) will let subscribers to the XM half of the company’s service tune into the actual satellite feed through an iPhone or iPod touch. It has both the true receiver as well as the antenna and so won’t require an active Internet connection like the existing Sirius XM Internet radio app for Apple’s devices.
