Panasonic today unveiled the new DMC-G2 from Lumix G Micro System as the world’s first interchangeable lens system camera with touch-control shooting. To develop the new DMC-G2, Panasonic focused on the operability and elevated it even higher by adoption of touch-screen that connects the sight and action most intuitively. Just a touch on the subject in the LCD lets you set AF even to release the shutter. Various advanced AF functions taking advantage of high-speed, accurate contrast AF are now as easy and comfortable as it never was with a combination of touch-screen operation.

Panasonic Lumix GF1 announce on September 1?

Panasonic’s Lumix GF1 could be aoounced in 3 weeks time according to a Chinese forum. The image lists an “unvealing” (potentially a play on words) for a new Lumix model in a two-day event that starts September 1st. A silhouette in the shot appears to match that of the GF1.

The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 has a stylish flat body built of high-quality aluminum, providing an attractive design for the camera’s rear surface. The DMC-FP8 features a high-quality Leica DC Vario Elmar 28mm wide-angle lens with a 4.6x optical zoom. The body is flat due to the retracting lens with folding optics without a fixed lens barrel. The folded optics has been adopted to secure the toughness of the lens unit. The new DMC-FP8 records dynamic HD motion pictures in 1280 x 720p at a smooth 30 fps, in addition to WVGA (848 x 480) and normal VGA (640 x 480).The Panasonic FP8 features a blue LED cursor button, adding elegance to the design each time they are pressed.
